Hunting for tulips in North Texas? With spring just around the corner, flowers are on our minds. Tulips are about to make their short-lived but glorious debut—and lucky for us here in North Texas, there are a few spots to find them!
Here’s your guide to tulips in North Texas:
Dallas Arboretum
We all know how stunning the Dallas Arboretum is, but if you haven’t been to Dallas Blooms, now is the time. From February 22 to April 13, 2025, over half a million spring-blooming tulips, daffodils, hyacinths (those wonderfully fragrant purple ones), and more will take center stage. You can’t pick these tulips, but trust me, the colorful photos you’ll snap among the 100+ varieties will be worth the visit.
Make sure to set aside time to explore the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden, too! Starting February 22, 2025, it’ll be included in general admission!
Open dates/hours: 9am–5pm daily
Admission: Free with regular admission: $22 for adults; $13 for children 2–12; under 2 free. Guests will need to reserve tickets for a specific time and date.
Fort Worth Botanic Garden
Head to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden in March for a tulip sighting and so much more. Nearly 150,000 bulbs are planted by hand each December so they can bloom in the spring! Expect colorful tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths.
Another amazing piece of news is that Butterflies in the Garden is back inside the conservatory. This magical exhibit only happens every two years, and it’s running from March 1 to April 30, 2025. Definitely don’t miss it!
Open dates/hours: The garden is open daily 8am to 5pm
Admission: Tickets are available online or at the door; $12 for adults, $6 for kids ages 6–15; and free for kids under 6.
Hemingway Hill
đź“Ť Kaufman County, Texas

This family-owned flower and Christmas tree farm, about 40 miles east of Dallas, is making a name for itself. You might recognize Hemingway Hill from their trees and wreaths at the Dallas Farmers Market, but their spring debut is just as exciting.
For its second tulip season, they’re introducing Tulipville, featuring over 40,000 bulbs imported from Holland. Wander through the rows, pick your own blooms (by hand—no shears needed), and fill a vintage bucket they’ll lend you. They’ll even wrap up your flowers and give you a free paper mat for your car ride home if you get a little dirty out in the fields.
Saturdays and Sundays are the best times to visit since they serve up warm, homemade apple cider donuts. Kid-friendly snacks are available for purchase, and there are picnic tables and games for the family to enjoy.
Open dates/hours: The 2025 season opens (new date) on Thursday, March 6, and through the following few weeks. Closed Monday–Wednesday but open the latter half of the week: 10am–6pm Thursday, 9am–6pm Friday and Saturday, noon–6pm Sunday.
Admission: Free admission. There’s no charge to get in the gate, but you’ll pay per flower that you pick: $2.50 per stem.
Texas Tulips
đź“Ť Pilot Point, Texas
An hour north of Dallas, this pick-your-own flower farm is well worth the mini-road trip. Owners Pieter and Petra Koeman brought their expertise from the Netherlands (aka Tulip Central) and turned Texas Tulips into a can’t-miss spring tradition. The farm typically stays open for about four weeks before selling out. With around 100 tulip varieties, you can walk the fields and pick your favorites. Bring your own basket or grab one at the farm, and let the kids have fun exploring the hay maze while you’re there.
Open dates/hours: Daily from 10am to 8pm. The 2025 season lasts as long as the flowers do.
Admission: $7 per person; free for children 12 months and younger, plus an additional $3 per tulip that you pick.
Tulipalooza
đź“Ť Waxahachie, Texas

Note: As of March 8, 2025, Tulipalooza has closed due to recent storms, so check whether they’ve reopened before you head over.
Back for another year, Tulipalooza is blooming at Getzendaner Memorial Park (a few miles from its original Poston Gardens location). You and the kids can walk the fields and hand-pick tulips imported from Holland—300,000 bulbs and more than a dozen varieties.
And here’s something special: When you buy tickets online in advance, 50% of your ticket price goes to one of 11 North Texas charities. Just pick which organization you’d like to support when you check out.
Open dates/hours: From about February 28–March 16, 2025, every day from 10am to 7pm.
Admission: Day passes are $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 5–12; under 5 free.
The Robinson Family Farm
đź“Ť Temple, Texas
Note: As of March 8, 2025, Tulipalooza has closed due to storm damage. Check before heading out to see if they’ve reopened!
The Robinson Family Farm in Temple, Texas, has more than tulips! Expect food trucks, beer and wine, tons of attractions, and spring photo ops. If you love a good photo spot, this one is a dream—think giant clogs, windmills, and colorful murals straight out of the Netherlands.
And yes, you can pick your own beautiful bouquet of tulips from North Texas, while supplies last! 🌷 But keep in mind tulips are very weather-dependent, so dates may shift.
Beyond the flowers, there’s plenty for all ages, with over 20 attractions, from a Mega Slide & Zipline to Axe Throwing and Farm Animals.
Open dates/hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 6 pm.
Admission: $16.95; children 2 and under are free.
